YMCA / LAKELANDS TOROS YOUTH SOCCER
The YMCA and Lakelands Toros Soccer Club’s partnership has changed recreation soccer in Greenwood. All recreation players register at the YMCA for fall and spring soccer. The Lakelands Toros Director Jamie Ramm will provide the expertise by conducting coaches training, providing practice drills, be present at practices and games and hire certified officials for all games.
Youth Soccer is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills. Every child plays while making friends and learning new techniques. Volunteer coaches are utilized and focus on skill advancement, participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life. Every game begins with a Youth Sports Pledge and ends with a handshake.
Practices are conducted the first 2-3 weeks of practice. Games are on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday's. Each child receives game shirt and a medal/trophy at the end of the season.
